FRANKIE4 footwear is built on a podiatrist-designed footbed as standard. For women who wear custom orthotics, every style that includes the Sole Saver Pack® goes further. The footbed is fully removable, creating the depth and volume needed to accommodate a custom orthotic correctly. The surrounding construction is designed to complement it. The Goldilocks Heel Counter provides rear-foot stability that is balanced rather than rigid, supporting the foot without overriding the orthotic's function. Underfoot, slip-resistant soles meet ISO 13287:2019 (SRC) standards, adding a layer of confidence to every step.

Custom orthotics are a common recommendation from podiatrists, physiotherapists, and other health professionals for a range of foot conditions. They are precision-made for an individual foot. But they only work if the shoe they go into has the space to accommodate them properly.
Most footwear does not. Fixed, non-removable footbeds leave no room. Shallow toe boxes compromise fit. The result is a choice between the orthotic and the shoe, and too often, style loses before the conversation even starts.

Every Sole Saver Pack® style includes a removable Sole Hero® Footbed. Take it out and the shoe is ready for a custom orthotic.

Heel support retained
The Goldilocks Heel Counter remains in place regardless of which footbed configuration is used, maintaining rear-foot stability around the orthotic.

Orthotic-friendly does not mean a wider, chunkier silhouette. The external profile of FRANKIE4 styles is designed to hold its shape whether the footbed is in or out.

Orthotic Friendly by Design

For women who wear custom orthotics, removing the footbed creates a clean, deep base for the orthotic to sit into correctly, the way it was prescribed. The shoe's internal structure, heel counter, and arch zone remain intact, so the orthotic works as intended rather than sitting on top of a surface it was never fitted for.
For women who do not wear orthotics, the Sole Hero® Footbed stays in, delivering the same podiatrist-designed support and cushioning as the rest of the FRANKIE4 range. The Sole Saver Pack® accommodates both.
