To us, certification is more than just a mark—it’s a way of seeing the world and leading for good. B Corps, including FRANKIE4, are part of a new generation of businesses—Gen B—driving meaningful change and building a better future today. That’s what we’re all celebrating this B Corp month, and we’d love for you to join us...

This March, we’re celebrating B Corp Month 2025 along with fellow certified B Corporation brands by highlighting the purpose driven steps we’re taking... from ethical business practices to prioritising employee wellbeing, employee engagement, and reducing waste through to our recycling initiatives. Every step we take is designed to lead with purpose and have a positive impact, with a focus on continuous improvement.

We’re rolling out a FRANKIE4 4-part series on Instagram about what B Corp means to us and how we’re stepping up to help shape a better future—one step at a time. Here’s what’s happening this month:

Part 1: 8 March – Championing Employee Wellbeing

In Part 1 of our B Corp series also celebrating International Women's Day 2025, Simone Swain, Associate Director of People and Culture, shared how we support the FRANKIE4 family—from engagement surveys to wellness incentives, volunteer days, and a standout parental leave program.

As a women-led company, we’re proud to champion women in leadership at every level. From our executive team to our all-female warehouse crew in the US, we’re fostering an environment where women lead, innovate, and thrive.

Part 2: Global Recycling Day, Stepping Up

Global Recycling Day, established in 2018 and celebrated worldwide on 18 March, to raise awareness and highlight the vital role of recycling in conserving resources and protecting our planet’s future.

Learn more about Global Recycling Day here.

Recycling isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a responsibility. At FRANKIE4, we’re committed to reducing footwear waste year-round, and one way is through our in-store footwear recycling program. But in honour of Global Recycling Day, we’re taking it a step further.

From 15–18 March, customers in Australia who recycle any pair of sneakers or other eligible shoes (not limited to FRANKIE4 styles) at our TreadLightly collection units in-store will receive 20% off their next order as a thank you*.

See our expert retail team discuss this exciting initiative in Part 2 of our video series here

With Australia importing over 25 million sports shoes each year—of which only an estimated 1% are recycled—and the U.S. recycling approximately 13% of textiles in clothing and footwear according to EPA, there’s more work to do. That’s why we’ve partnered with TreadLightly in Australia to help keep shoes out of landfill.

Part 3 & 4: Still to Come, Follow Along

22 March – Our Responsibility and Research Coordinator, Charles McKay, will be diving deeper into our mission and why we believe in business as a force for good.

29 March – Join Rosie Jamieson, Associate Director of Technical Footwear at FRANKIE4, takes us behind the scenes as she shares fascinating insight into our supply chain and manufacturing processes.

  1. 100% of net profits from sock sales in each FRANKIE4 region are donated to these incredible charities and their causes.

  • Brainchild Foundation (Australia): $708,722.88 AUD (as of 31 October, 2024) donated to support children and families affected by spinal cord tumors.

  • The Cure Starts Now (US): $13,046.01 USD (as of 31 October, 2024) donated to cancer research for a ‘Homerun Cure™.

  • Brain Tumour Support NZ (New Zealand): $10,176.87 NZD (as of 31 October, 2024) donated to support adults diagnosed with brain tumors.

Packaging & Recycling: We use 100% recycled materials for shoeboxes, stuffing paper, and printed wrap, all of which are curbside recyclable. Our mailer bags are soft plastic recyclable, and shoes can be recycled through our concept stores.
