Styling Advice: Rachel Waddell on how to style for the classroom

Rachel is a year 6 teacher working in Brisbane. She runs @agoodlittleteach where she shares her love for fashion and teaching.

Three reasons why she loves FRANKIE4

  1. FRANKIE4's are the comfiest shoes you'll ever own. I can stand on my feet all day and not be in any pain!
  2. One of the great things about FRANKIE4 is that you don't need to wear them in! They are good to go from the moment you buy them. No blisters at all!
  3. The best work shoes ever. Stylish, easy to wear, and look good with everything. I literally wear them everyday!

3 Fool-proof back to school looks

It’s about this time in January where I start to think, not only about my classroom and what I’m going to teach this year, but about my wardrobe. As we know, what we wear can have a huge influence on how we perceive ourselves. However, it can also add to a whole heap of stress that we definitely don’t need in that first week back of school. To set your minds at ease, and to hopefully give you a bit of inspiration, FRANKiE4 and I have teamed up to bring you three fool-proof back to school looks for your first couple of weeks at school.

Keep it Simple

When all else fails, keep it simple. Grab that pair of black pants, a white top and a blazer, and finish it off with a pair of black flats. It’s polished, it’s professional and it’s very easy to look put together, even if you’re not really feeling like you are.

Add a bit of Sparkle

I love the term 'dopamine dressing’. Basically, it means to dress in something that makes you happy. These gold flats are the perfect mood lifter for those midweek blues. Pair it with an easy ‘throw on and go’ dress and you’ve got the perfect match.

Style it with Sneakers

One of my favourite Friday looks is to pair a simple dress or skirt/top combo with a pair of white sneakers. It’s an effortlessly cool look, and perfect for a casual Friday outfit to usher in your weekend.
