3 Reasons I love FRANKIE4:

1. Comfort! FRANKIE4s can be worn ALL DAY LONG from the moment you open that box. No breaking in shoes means I can get on with life and be at my best for my clients, knowing I won’t be distracted by sore feet.

2. As someone who is on their feet for 12 hours at a time dashing around shopping centres with clients, it’s important my foot and back health isn’t compromised. I feel at ease wearing a shoe that is Podiatrist founded and approved.

3. My clients LOVE them! And if my clients approve, I approve. Every second wardrobe visit has a pair of FRANKIE4s in it already. My clients tell me FRANKIE4s are their favourite, most comfortable shoes they own. The credibility of these shoes just keeps stacking up, I can’t not recommend them with constant rave reviews like that.

Essentials for your winter wardrobe

Are you wanting to build a winter wardrobe that is versatile, functional, effortless and stylish? The key to an incredibly functional wardrobe that makes dressing easy is understanding the balance between core wardrobe staples and trend-led pieces and how to formulate a wardrobe that has the right balance of both.

So when it comes to winter footwear, what are the pieces I recommend you invest in to create a hardworking and stylish wardrobe collection?

  1. A classic winter boot - start with black, then tan
  2. A pair of leather flat shoes
  3. A versatile loafer
  4. A fresh white or light coloured sneaker or shoe
  5. One trend-led shoe that you absolutely love

I’ve chosen a few of my favourite FRANKIE4’s of the season and styled them to demonstrate and show you how and why these core staples are wardrobe essentials that will ensure you can dress effortlessly for all that life has to throw you…

1. Shauna in Black

I love my Shauna's. I’ve had them for a couple of years now and they come back out each season. Easy to style casually with jeans or leggings, they work equally well with a dress pant, or dress and coat. A black boot is hands-down the number one wardrobe must-have when winter greets us.

And that’s what’s happened with the sneaker trend. Today’s sneaker outfits embrace a contrast of casual and dressed up; Contrast the casual look of sneakers, jeans and a tee with the structure of a blazer. Bring a comfortable, yet fun element to a dress outfit by swapping sandals for sneakers. The ultimate in casual/dressy sneaker looks comes when you work back an elevated fabric, for example a satin midi skirt, back with a sneaker and blazer. It’s the juxtaposition of casual and elevated in one outfit that brings a sneaker outfit into the 2020s.

Your age has nothing to do with how you style a sneaker look. It’s about the attitude and confidence you bring. Best of all, your feet and legs will thank you with every step.

2. Faye in Black Reptile

So many clients tell me they’re not sure what shoes to reach for when a sneaker isn’t appropriate but a heel is too much. A classic leather loafer is a wardrobe must-have that fills the gap between dressed up and super casual. And of course, even more essential for corporate ladies who love a flat shoe.

The pointed toe and collar grooves on Faye elongate the leg and frame the foot beautifully.

I’ve styled mine into a corporate look for the ladies that love all black. When wearing one colour, including varied texture (like reptile) to your outfit adds interest and style.

And my fave outfit of all is this french-chic vibe with a classic but modern twist. Jeans, blazer and loafer combo - a timeless look to lean on always.

3. Stella in Chalk Reptile

I love Stella for her modern take on the loafer and wanted to play with styling these for both work and play.

Now these are so much more beautiful in real life! Chalk and vanilla coloured leathers are an on-trend footwear look this winter. The soft almond toe shape elevates the look, yet the crisp white sole is reminiscent of a more casual sneaker. They’re a fun play on hi-lo dressing, which is so fitting this year as society is taking a more casual tone on workplace wardrobe.

I’ve created a tonal look where my pants match the shoe, elongating the leg and minimising contrast.

They look equally fab for those who love all black dressing with a pop of interest - the classic chic way of styling an essential wardrobe is when your accessories and footwear do all the talking.

I also love wearing these with jeans for a casual look chasing after the kiddies.

4. Rach in Burgundy Reptile

Your footwear choices can date you or elevate you more than any other wardrobe piece. When you value shopping smart and investing in classic timeless pieces, the best way to make a style statement is through your shoe choice. I always say to add a high-trend shoe every season to keep your look relevant and fun, and to mix up those otherwise neutral looks.

With rich chocolates and wine colours hot this season, I chose these gorgeous burgundy Rach boots. I’ve styled mine with a super trendy long trench to really make a style-statement.

Then I paired them back with a classic knit dress outfit to pop some some extra interest to the neutral look.

If you love your classics such as grey, white, navy and beige, you can work these boots in just like you would your black or tan. They’re actually much more easy to style than you’d think.

I do love oozing a bit of trend when it comes to my shoe choice!
