As 2025 draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the journey we’ve shared this year; and it’s clear that together, we’ve covered some incredible ground. Not just in kilometres walked, but in the small and meaningful ways we’ve shown up for our days, carried by shoes designed to make life feel easier, more comfortable, and a lot more supported.
This year, we celebrated 15 years of designing shoes that empower women through life. From our first pairs to the countless steps you’ve taken in FRANKIE4s, the scale of our journey is staggering... 150 billion steps (give or take).
A number so large it can only really be understood as lived experience. That’s school runs, boardroom days, airport dashes, weekend adventures, and long hours on your feet. In every step, our aim has been simple: to make comfort and thoughtful design truly day-changing.
One of the highlights of 2025 came from the outside looking in. An independent QUT-led study confirmed what our community has long told us: our Jackie sneaker and Sole Hero® Footbed reduce heel pressure by 15%, soften impact by 30%, and improve comfort by up to 67% for women with heel pain*. Science backing up the shared experience of thousands of women; proof that thoughtful design matters, and that the right shoes can truly change your day.
Our community has also grown in more exciting ways than we can count. This year, we celebrated reaching 150,000+ five-star reviews; a clear sign of the love and support that surrounds our shoes.
Women share what works. And now our referral program rewards you for doing just that, letting friends discover styles that are too good to keep to yourself.
We also launched our CHAPTER4 Book Club, bringing women together across cities and online to share, connect, reflect, and unwind through a love of story.
At the same time, we’ve been working to make FRANKIE4 more accessible than ever. You can now find an expanded range of FRANKIE4 in nine David Jones flagship stores across Australia and online at davidjones.com, giving our community even more ways to step into their favourite styles.
Beyond that, our wholesale partnerships with Nordstrom, Von Maur, Dillard’s, J.Jill, and independent stockists across Australia and the US are bringing FRANKIE4 to women everywhere. Seeing our designs travel this far and wide is a wonderful reminder of the community and care that has carried us for 15 years (and counting).
Behind the scenes, our team has been recognised for their creativity and dedication, as a Finalist for Product Design Team of the Year and named “Best Place to Work” at the 2025 Australian Fashion Industry Awards. It’s a reminder that care, intention, and innovation go into every pair we create long before it reaches your wardrobe.
As we step into 2026, let’s carry forward a shared resolution: to Begin With Better in 2026. To slow down, create grounded habits, and build strong foundations for the year ahead. To celebrate the ground we’ve covered while stepping forward with intention and purpose, supported every step of the way.
